Wonder'neath Open Studio

Friday, March 6th  Our numbers are back up as participants fearlessly trudge through the snow!  The collaborative bird puppet is on-going, pillows and purses get sewn, IWK Choices staff and youth complete Justice-related imagery and screen print onto t-shirts, and joining us as facilitator is Therese from Bombardier Designs - and Mar, a graduate student at NSCAD who spoke Spanish with one of our participants preparing to go to Guatemala on a school trip!  Also a visit from Waypoint Centre for Self-Directed Learning and several homeschoolers!

A moment to honour Heather's homemade muffins!  Each week she makes delicious muffins to keep our artists going!

A dad and son sewing together to make a pillow.  Loved that the dad hadn't sewn before but because his mom had sewn, and he had grown up surrounded by machines and projects, 'by osmosis' he knew how.

Finished - with a drawing and everything!  A NSCAD student had donated supplies to Open Studio, including iridescent fabric markers - which were perfect for this pillow!
