In collaboration with the Blue Building Gallery, we are pleased to host a textiles workshop with Sandra Brownlee. Sandra Brownlee is an award-winning artist based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with an ongoing engagement with weaving, tactile notebook keeping, and teaching. She has exhibited extensively in both solo and group exhibitions since the late 1970’s across Canada and internationally. The Word Made Physical celebrates works from across Brownlee’s remarkable career, highlighting Brownlee’s unique, tactile approach to studio practice as a way of chronicling life and materializing one’s inner world.

Led by Sandra, this workshop explores how to make words and letters physical through stitching and layering in a tactile book form. Join us in this rare opportunity to learn from Sandra!

Cost: $30. This workshop is being offered at an accessible rate in conjunction with Sandra Brownlee’s show at the Blue Building Gallery.
