On November 22 & 29, Wonder’neath is presenting Wearable Electronics, Level 1 &2. These are day-long workshops taught by artist Catherine Euale, @slimy_futures!

Wearable 1: We had the pleasure of offering this intro-level workshop in the Spring and welcomed a full house of keen learners. We are re-offering this workshop again by popular demand! This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the basics of building soft circuits using conductive materials. Participants will leave with samples they built and an understanding of the materials available for integrating electronics into textiles and wearables. Suitable for artists, designers, makers, textile crafters, costume designers, cosplayers and experimental enthusiasts! 

Wearable 2: This full-day workshop builds on the foundations from Wearable Electronics 1 and expands into the world of soft sensors, textile-based tools for reading pressure, bend, and position, and makes them come to life through code. This workshop is for folks with basic hands-on experience with soft circuits, conductive thread, and e-textile construction, as well as students who have completed Wearable Electronics 1. Some basic understanding of circuit diagrams is helpful. Comfortable sewing basic stitches. No coding experience required.
